Ensure your Internet Security with
ACR83 Secure PIN entry (SPE) smart card reader
|

ACS,
Hong Kong, 31 May, 2007 - Advanced Card Systems
Ltd. (HONG KONG STOCK
Exchange: 8210, www.acs.com.hk), Asia Pacific's
number one supplier in PC-linked smart card
readers industry (Source: research report issued
by Frost & Sullivan), announces that the
ACR83 Secure PIN entry (SPE) personal card
reader is being introduced to the market.
In high security environments, a Secure PIN
Entry card reader is required for securing
transactions online. ACR83 allows the user
to enter the PIN on the Card Reader PIN PAD
rather than on the untrusted PC or workstation.
ACR83 will send this PIN directly to the smart
card for authentication, thus not exposing
the PIN to the untrusted PC or workstation.
It eliminates the possibility that a Virus/Trojan
or USB Sniffer gets hold of the PIN.
Fitting in the palm of your hand, ACR83 is
one of the smallest USB PIN PAD readers in
the market. The user can plug in the reader
to a standard USB port in the PC, insert the
smart card, wait for the command to be displayed
on the LCD and then securely enter the PIN
using the built-in 14-key keypad.
"

card reader suppliers, I am proud of our latest
